Isometric puzzle game for mobile

Into the Sky is a free puzzle game for mobile devices coming from developer errorsevendev. It is a 3D isometric puzzler wherein players control a robotic character, and they are tasked with solving various challenges that feature lasers by using the principle of refraction to their advantage.

Similar to Daregon: Isometric Puzzles and There You Go, Into the Sky features a clean and minimalistic art style to go with its pseudo-futuristic sci-fi theme. It's complemented by an original ambient soundtrack for a relaxing yet relaxing experience. It also does not require an active internet connection and can be played offline.

Playing with lasers

Into the Sky is basically a puzzle game about lasers and refraction. In it, you control a robot that moves mirror blocks around to reflect and match colored lasers to their respective sensor terminals. There are more than 70 levels of increasing complexity to solve. Each block has four sides and you need to figure out where to position it to hit all sensors with any obstruction.

To add to the challenge, some levels have distinct separation of platforms and you will need some extra finessing to hit sensors, and this is where the aforementioned mirrors and portals come into play. Bounce lasers off a stationary mirror to hit targets. In some cases, you also need to let them pass through portals to come out of a different location on the grid.

Now, these types of games typically test and push players to their limit with complex puzzles, but the game is a little different as it gives you the option to skip levels if you want. There have been issues with its controls, though. Controlling your character with just taps can be quite imprecise in some situations. A virtual d-pad or joystick would have been better.

Nice concept and gameplay

All in all, if you like puzzle games and are looking for something a little different, then Into the Sky is worth considering. Its laser-based puzzles are challenging and are quite fun to solve. Its minimal art style and chill soundtrack are also nice touches that help create a relaxing atmosphere. Aside from the finicky controls, you should check this one out. Recommended.
